Whilst studying the YMCA Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance, you will develop your:

• Understanding of the context and principles of internal quality assurance and how to plan the internal quality assurance of assessment
• Understanding of the techniques and criteria for monitoring the quality of assessment internally
• Understanding of how to internally maintain and improve the quality of assessment
• Knowledge of how to manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment
• Knowledge of the legal and good practice requirements for the internal quality assurance of assessment

During the course, you will build a portfolio of evidence, submit assignments and be practically assessed on the planning and delivery of internal quality assurance.

A typical course takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Again this can vary, depending on your application, previous experience, needs and availability. Courses can be open ended and completed over a number of months, for those that need to balance things around their work and lifestyle.
