Level 3 award in assessing

Whilst studying the YMCA Level 3 Award in Assessing, you will develop your:

• Knowledge of the principles and requirements of assessment
• Understanding of different types of assessment methods
• Understanding of how to plan and carry out assessments, involving learners and others
• Ability to provide appropriate feedback following assessment
• Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance of the assessment process
• Knowledge of the legal and good practice requirements in assessing

During the course, you will build a portfolio of evidence, submit assignments and be practically assessed on the planning and delivery of assessment.

A typical course takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Again this can vary, depending on your application, previous experience, needs and availability. Courses can be open ended and completed over a number of months, for those that need to balance things around their work and lifestyle.
